I took almost a month off from posting and now i'm back. I also took about 3 weeks off of Weight Watchers. I didn't want to feel super guilty for eating all the yummy's that come along with the holidays. However to my surprise even without logging everything I put in my face I only gained 1 pound since the beginning of Dec. Last week I weighed and I as actually down from my last post but new years screwed me and I was back up to 139.4. But I am totally OK with it this is part of the weight loss game. I know by next week I will be back down to where i was but hopefully even lower. I have also started cooking again this week and didn't realize how much i missed it.
With the beginning of the year also comes training for the Salt Lake half marathon. I have hit the road twice this week and am LOVING it!!! The freedom of being out in the cool air and forgetting about your duties as a Mom and a Wife is so therapeutic. It took me some time to realize how important a little me time is. I am a happier and calmer person when I get to put me first for a little while. The half marathon is in April and my goal is to beat last year's time of 2hrs 32min. I just remember the feeling I got when I crossed the finish line it ranked up there with Piper's birth. I was so amazed and proud of myself for finishing something I never thought was possible. I can't wait to show up at the start line wearing my Snuggie (thanks Dooce). I am still playing indoor soccer and look forward to Monday night all week long. The ladies that I get to spend an hour with once a week are amazing. They make me laugh no matter how I feel when I show up at the game. I am a better person for spending time with all of you.
So now onto what this new year will bring, or at least what I hope to accomplish during it. I am hoping that before the end of this year we will be in a bigger house. We have soooo outgrown our little starter home. I am also hoping to be pregnant with our 4th (yes i know i'm crazy) before to long. I would already be there but the other half of this equation is taking a little longer to convince. I am trying to be a more patient person especially with the kids. I WILL be down to my perfect weight before the summer (as long as i'm not knocked up). We will be spending more time together as a family with a summer trip planned with the Hanor's. Can't frickin wait for that!! Curtis and I will be doing more races hopefully this year. We already have 2 planned. We will get our bills payed down so the thought of another kid and a bigger house wont be so traumatic for Curtis. I will continue to put me first so that the rest of the family will be happier.
I think that just about sums it up. 2011 was a great year and I accomplished a lot but 2012 will be AMAZING!! I wish all of my family and friends an amazing New Year also. May all your dreams come true.
