12 Weeks down...

It has been 7 weeks since we found out we were going to have another little one in the house. It was so surreal the day we found out. I really didn't think the test was going to be positive but sure enough there it was that second line. I cried! Then I got to go out and tell Christian and Piper that Mommy had a baby in her belly. Christian was excited and knew what that meant since he was old enough when I got pregnant with Piper. Piper on the other hand was hilarious she asked if I had eaten the baby? I mean how else did I get it into my belly? Cj was at school so I had to wait to tell him. I called Curtis at work to tell him the news kinda nervous what his reaction would be. We had planned on trying in June but I guess the universe had other plans. Of coarse Curtis was in an all day training and didn't answer his phone. I couldn't wait till that night , I was to excited! He finally called me and shocked the living daylights out of me. He was so excited and I could hear how big his smile was. That melted my heart. He has been such an amazing dad with our first three I just couldn't wait to see him with this one. I am one lucky girl!!

The first few weeks went by with no problems but of coarse like with all  my pregnancies the sickness reared it's ugly head at about week 7. I was expecting to be sick like i was with Piper but to my surprise this has been pretty easy. I have been sick but not everyday all day long. The worst has been the constant nauseated feeling but I can usually work past that. My belly popped out around 8 weeks to my surprise. But I absolutely love being pregnant and all that comes with it.

week 8
We had our first Midwife apt with Sherri at week 9. I have to say this was probably the thing I have been looking forward to the most. I love the care and attention you get from a midwife. They don't treat you like a number. They want to know about every aspect of your life. It took a few minutes because someone was playing hide n seek, but we got to hear the heartbeat. A strong 179 beats per minute. That sound can cheer you up no matter how bad the mood. To know that the little peanut that has gone unnoticed for so many weeks is healthy inside you is an amazing feeling.

12 weeks
We have another apt with Sherri in a couple weeks and in the mean time we continue to pack with the hopes that we will be moving soon. Now the biggest internal battle I'm having is whether to find out the sex of the baby or not. To start this pregnancy I was going to wait and be surprised. As the weeks tick past and we get closer to that 20 week mark there is an internal battle going on whether to find out or not. We will see which one wins out in 8 more weeks. Stay tuned.
